QualityAI Acquires the TCL Group, Further Expanding Its Global Footprint and Offering

QualityAI, a global leader in Quality Assurance and Software Testing Services, announced the acquisition of TCL, a global Software Testing firm, strengthening its position as the world’s largest pure play testing services provider, adding a strong UK customer base and offshore testing abilities in Bangalore, India.

QualityAI employs over 1300 software testing professionals and provide a variety of software testing services to a broad portfolio of clients, including global Fortune 500 companies.
TCL, based in the UK, an independent Software Testing Consultancy that employs over 130 Test Professionals, started at the beginning of 2000, with offices in the UK in London, Bristol and Exeter; in Zurich, Switzerland; in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the US; and in Bangalore, India.

The acquisition will expand QualityAI’s testing service business in the UK and allow it to offer both onshore and offshore testing, according to individual customer needs. Known for its strong customer base and telecom expertise, TCL adds its telecom expertise and software testing training capabilities to QualityAI. QualityAI will now deliver managed testing services through local teams and offshore test facilities in Israel and India, reaching new cost efficiencies, global markets and a 24 hour time zone coverage. With the ability to support onshore, near shore, on-site and offshore testing, QualityAI will now offer its customers the “right” shore for their testing services needs.

The decision to join forces was prompted by market demand for increased innovation in the managed testing services arena. Both the long-standing collaboration between the founders of both organizations and the great cultural alignment between the two companies provided a strong platform of trust and respect upon which the deal was ultimately built.

Ayal Zylberman, QualityAI’s President, commented on the acquisition: “QualityAI is already the largest pure play software testing organization in the world and we wanted to make it a truly global organization to service our clients around the world. I passionately believe that joining forces with TCL significantly extends our market proposition and brings a strong cultural alignment. Having TCL on board shall allow QualityAI to better utilize its innovative solutions and introduce them to new markets.”

Stewart Noakes, TCL’s Co-founder and Chairman, added, “TCL’s enduring vision is to become a world wide, world class center for software testing. After several years of close collaboration with Ayal and his team at QualityAI we believe joining forces will significantly accelerate that journey and deliver the market what it is asking for in a truly global pure play testing company.” After the acquisition, Mr. Noakes will continue with QualityAI as CEO of the UK and India divisions.
